Part-time Apartment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part-time Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic property management team. As a Part-time Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents by responding promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks for apartment units, common areas, and grounds to ensure a well-maintained and safe environment.
  • Identify and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, ensuring that all work complies with safety and company standards.
  • Respond to work orders and resident requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Conduct inspections of property grounds, buildings, and equipment to assess conditions and report findings to the property manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new residents, ensuring they are clean, functional, and meet quality standards.
  • Keep maintenance equipment in good working order and maintain inventory records of supplies.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed for larger repairs or specialized work.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to create a secure environment for residents and team members alike.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably within a residential setting.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents and team members.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and handling tools.
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends as required.
