We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part-time Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic property management team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals who possess strong technical skills and are passionate about maintaining high standards in apartment living. As a Part-time Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents by responding promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks for apartment units, common areas, and grounds to ensure a well-maintained and safe environment.
- Identify and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, ensuring that all work complies with safety and company standards.
- Respond to work orders and resident requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
- Conduct inspections of property grounds, buildings, and equipment to assess conditions and report findings to the property manager.
- Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new residents, ensuring they are clean, functional, and meet quality standards.
- Keep maintenance equipment in good working order and maintain inventory records of supplies.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed for larger repairs or specialized work.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to create a secure environment for residents and team members alike.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably within a residential setting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and handling tools.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends as required.
