Job Summary /Basic Function

Individual will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings including offices, classrooms, restrooms, lounges and other areas, and also help with event set up and tear down when needed.

Positions available during 4 – 5 hour block starting at 4pm depending on available openings. 20 hours minimum per week required.

Required On-call rotation during winter months for snow removal, usually called in between 5-6am in the morning.

** This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Criminal Background check is required as a condition of employment.

Physical Activity of this position

Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles etc., using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Agility is emphasized. Important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion., Maintaining equilibrium to prevent falling. Walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. Amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.

Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately or quickly.

Physical Requirements of this position

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision.

Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services,) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection).
