Environmental Services Technician

Job Summary

Clean and disinfect assigned work areas according to department procedures. Remove medical waste, trash, and linens. Perform interim and restorative maintenance of the health system's hard floors, carpets, and upholstery. Work independently within a specified area of responsibility.

• Clean, disinfect, and restock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas following established procedures.
• Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery.
• Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies necessary for tasks.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Report general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in the work area.
• Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital.
• Be available to work across department sites for coverage as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Public service and/or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
