This position directly reports to the various quarry supervisors. All duties are performed in a work‑safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and the individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in production functions and maintenance.

• Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
• Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies to ensure that environmental, health, and safety are the first priority.
• Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist as needed to improve EHS.
• Communicates effectively and timely with staff.
• Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
• Trains and coaches other employees when needed.
• Performs other duties as time permits or as assigned.
• Provides internal controls that give reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect company resources.
• Ensures compliance with internal control procedures.
• Maintains strict adherence to established standards, preventing violations of policy or law.
• Ability to work independently, be a self‑starter, yet participate within a team environment.
• Ability to operate equipment effectively.
• Must understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas.
• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas, promoting a culture of safety and exhibiting these behaviors.

• Previous surface mining experience but not required.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English).
• Welding, cutting, and mechanical skills are desired.
• Experience with haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize‑approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass both qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
