Northwest Health Care, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
The Plant Operations Department is responsible for all aspects of physical plant maintenance for Northwest Health Care, including general
Provides the necessary skill for operation and maintenance of the physical plant systems in a manner to ensure safe operation, optimum performance, and maximum efficiency and all other duties as required. Provides the most difficult repairs and overhauls, on any of the mechanical equipment in any facility in the system.
Responsibilities- Keeps equipment clean and operational. Handles and disposes of hazardous and or infectious waste properly and practices infection control. Adheres to regulatory guidelines.
- Operates, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all physical plant equipment in compliance with all department procedures and policies, and all applicable compliance, safety, federal, state and local regulations.
- Completes all assigned critical and routine equipment preventative maintenance by utilizing approved procedures, department policies, and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Notifies appropriate leadership in the event of equipment malfunction, boiler casualty, or any other unforeseen event that negatively impact the operation of the boiler plant or the hospital steam system.
- Monitors elevators and determines if a repairman needs to be dispatched.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5-10 years
- No Experience
- SE - Class 1, HVAC/EPA Refrig
