The Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD) at WashU Medicine provides essential services that sustain the medical campus’ mission of excellence in patient care, research, and education. Provides custodial services for a department by performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, healthy work environment for staff and visitors.

• Collects and disposes of trash and waste products by taking them to the appropriate compactor.
• Cleans, disinfects bathrooms, sanitizes telephones, washes desks, and cleans lunch/service areas.
• Operates mechanical floor cleaners, vacuums, and utilizes mop buckets, wringers, and other related equipment.
• Mops, buffs, and maintains all floors, and dusts and vacuums work areas and offices.
• Washes interior and exterior windows.
• Change lights utilizing appropriate ladders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 3rd shift schedule is typically Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
• Alternative work schedule as a regular part of the job (weekends).

• Typically bending, crouching, and stooping.
• Exposure to chemicals.
• Typically standing or walking.
• Exposure to moving machinery.
• Frequent lifting of 25lbs or more.
• Ability to move to on and off-campus locations.

• Heavy equipment (buffers).

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
