Working collaboratively with individuals, businesses, government and other service providers, St. Patrick Center will end chronic homelessness in the St. Louis region through Housing First, an evidence-based practice that tells us to remove barriers, do intake and assessment early, move people into housing and offer them support to achieve their goals.
Job SummaryCatholic Charities of St. Louis, St. Patrick Center, is hiring a full time Custodial Engineer to work at it's offsite location, Rosati Place. The Custodial Engineer is responsible for completion of assigned duties related to the upkeep and cleaning of the facilities rick Center as well as other assignments related to the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities of St.
Louis.
- Performs all assignments related to the Facilities Department as defined by written work orders and verbal directives from the Custodial Supervisor and/or other members of the leadership team.
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (ex. dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning)
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
- Cooperate and collaborate with all coworkers.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Meets with supervisor as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional duties for floor tech include:
- Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas and other areas
- Moving furniture before and after cleaning
- Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping and waxing floors.
- Measuring chemicals correctly
- Operating chemical dispensing units and labeling chemicals correctly
- Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
- Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties
- Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree or certification from trade school preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in housekeeping preferred.
- Current TB test within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
