Job Position

Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our customers’ buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned:

• Remove debris and maintain common space areas.
• Restock bathrooms and respond to all cleaning emergencies.
• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, polish, clean windows, and move furniture, equipment, etc.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required.
• Clean all common space areas including kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room.
• Place safety hazard signs in the building, including “wet floor” signs as necessary.
• Monitor, clean, service and restock bathrooms.
• Respond immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crises.
• Remove litter and debris from common space areas.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked job.
• Positive attitude, friendly, and contributes to a positive work climate in uniform, dependable and on time.
• Respectful and understands co‑workers and customers.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Physical Demands and

Qualifications:

• Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward, and ability to lift and/or carry 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses.

Travel and Drug Screening: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to pass a background check and drug screen.
