Day Porter St Ann Cleaning

Position is from 9am-5:30pm Monday‑Friday and starts immediately.

Required cleaning skills include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and emptying trash.

This position maintains a clean and healthy environment for customers’ buildings and grounds. Core duties include:

• Removing debris, maintaining common areas, restocking bathrooms, and responding to cleaning emergencies.
• Performing all cleaning duties using Service Master products, tools, and procedures.
• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture or equipment.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Using proper PPE where required.
• Cleaning common spaces such as kitchens, cafeterias, lobbies, and break rooms.
• Placing safety hazard signs (e.g., wet floor) as necessary.
• Monitoring, cleaning, servicing, and restocking bathrooms.
• Responding immediately to major spills or other cleaning crises.
• Removing litter and debris from common areas.
• Providing on‑the‑job training to employees with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Contributing to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude, punctuality, and uniform compliance.
• Respecting coworkers and customers.
• Communicating in English.

• 1–2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required.
• Prior experience with a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked environment.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions and differentiate between cleaning products and uses.

• Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, and reaching forward.
• Ability to lift and/or carry 25 lbs.
