Position Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing ATM equipment at customer locations. This position involves performing maintenance and component replacement at the module level, managing parts inventory, documenting service activities, and ensuring customer issues are resolved according to established service agreements. Training will be provided for candidates with little or no prior industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and component replacement at the module level.
- Maintain parts inventory and associated records.
- Provide status updates throughout the repair process.
- Diagnose issues using information provided in service calls and equipment error logs.
- Maintain ownership of customer issues through resolution in accordance with service level agreements.
- Follow established security and safety procedures while working on ATM equipment and at financial institutions.
- Complete required training and certification programs.
- Accurately document service calls, activities, and required reports.
- Organize and prioritize workload effectively.
- Escalate issues appropriately when necessary.
- Apply established procedures and resolve routine task-related issues using sound judgment and manual skills.
- Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to travel within the assigned service area as required.
- Ability to carry and lift tools and parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work assignments may be scheduled daily or dispatched on a call-by-call basis.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0–1 years of related experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Android smartphone capable of receiving work orders and accessing support documentation.
- Basic hand tools, including Phillips and flathead screwdrivers (tools are not provided).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, overtime, on-call rotations, and varying shifts.
- High level of personal integrity and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience servicing ATM equipment or similar electromechanical devices is preferred.
