QPS Employment Group has a great Sanitation position available at a company in Berkeley, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Sanitation Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:- Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, workstations, equipment, racks, dock areas, and common areas according to company food safety standards.
- Perform routine cleaning of production and warehouse equipment using approved cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and remove debris throughout the warehouse to maintain a clean and organized facility.
- Empty trash, recycling, and waste containers while properly disposing of materials in designated areas.
- Clean employee breakrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and office areas as scheduled.
- Restock sanitation supplies, paper products, soap dispensers, and cleaning chemicals as needed.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety guidelines, and all sanitation procedures to prevent contamination.
- Safely handle, mix, and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company policies.
- Inspect work areas and report sanitation concerns, damaged equipment, or potential safety hazards to supervision.
- Maintain accurate sanitation logs and cleaning documentation as required.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects during scheduled shutdowns or maintenance periods.
- Support warehouse operations by maintaining clean aisles and ensuring work areas remain free of hazards throughout each shift.
- Participate in food safety, quality, and safety training programs.
- Perform additional responsibilities and sanitation-related projects as assigned by management.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, manufacturing, or food production experience preferred but not required.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Knowledge of food safety practices, GMPs, and sanitation procedures preferred.
Ability to safely work with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, or ambient warehouse environments if assigned.
Frequently stand and walk for the entire shift (8–12 hours).
Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull while performing cleaning duties.
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance or mechanical equipment.
Frequently push and pull cleaning carts, trash containers, hoses, and sanitation equipment.
Ability to work around water, cleaning chemicals, wet floors, and varying warehouse temperatures.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
Ability to safely climb ladders or step stools when cleaning elevated surfaces.
