Laundry Attendant / Housekeeper - Part-Time Day Shift

The Gatesworth, an award-winning luxury senior living community, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of a Day Shift Laundry Attendant / Housekeeper. Pay for this position is $17.50/hour.

This key dual-role position's primary focus is managing resident laundry services, complemented by providing detailed housekeeping for apartments and common areas. • Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).

• Hours: Specific days to be determined with the manager.

• Weekend flexibility and holidays are required.

• Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including extensive walking throughout the large facility, standing for long periods, bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing housekeeping carts.

• Manage the full laundry cycle: washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident clothes, linens, and personal items with meticulous care.

• Ensure all laundry is handled promptly, efficiently, and according to resident preferences.

• Perform detailed cleaning of resident apartments, including kitchens and bathrooms (dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, scrubbing, and polishing).

• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation in all common areas, hallways, and facility spaces.

• Restock common area supplies (soap, paper products, etc.).

• Assist with facility emergencies, spills, and pet cleanups as needed.

• Commit to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents

• Experience: 2+ years of professional laundry service,
  housekeeping
  , hotel, or senior living cleaning experience required.

• Skills: Exceptional customer service and communication skills; friendly and professional demeanor.

• Reliability: Proven ability to be a reliable and positive team player.

• Transportation: Reliable transportation is required.

• Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand for extended periods, and perform occasional lifting throughout the workday.
