Maintenance Manager

Supervises the maintenance and repair of physical plant and supervises the grounds keeping of buildings and surrounding property.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOther duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.
- Submits job posting requests, interviews, hires, and coaches/manages the performance of department personnel
- Oversees timecard reporting, time off/time adjustment requests, and work performance of direct reports
- Completes job status changes, performance communications, and evaluations for direct reports in a timely manner
- Ensures direct reports assigned remain within compliance to the organization's required training, attestations, and policies and procedures
- Completes Purchase Order Requests through the Web Purchasing system to obtain materials and services necessary to perform maintenance and repair jobs and projects
- Attends and actively participates in Regional Leadership Team meetings and activities
- Serves as a member of the Safety Management Committee
- Manages and coordinates life safety (fire safety) equipment, utilities and preventative maintenance programs including documenting and reporting findings to leadership and applicable committees.
- Monitors all physical plant for fire safety compliance
Education:
High school diploma or GED with technical training in facilities management, plant engineering/plant maintenance or related field.
Qualifications:
- Possesses a current, valid MO driver's license and meets the KVC requirements for driver's insurance
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language proficiently
- Ability to use independent judgment and manage confidential information
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in all transactions and communication
Experience:
6 months of related experience and/or training
Preferred Experience /Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Construction Science or related field preferred.
