Environmental Service Technician​/Janitors

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Environmental Service Technicians/Janitors to support operations at the St. Louis VA Medical Center located at 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St. Louis, MO 63125. • Outpatient rooms:
  High dust, wipe walls and all furniture. Clean any debris or paint left by contractors. Mop floors with germicidal solution; vacuum carpeted floors.
• Maintain floors:
  Sweep, dust mop, damp mop, wet mop, dry buff, and spray buff to ensure a uniform, glossy appearance. Clean baseboards, corners, and wall/floor edges.
• Break rooms:
  Dust mop, wet mop, and refine VCT flooring. Clean counters, sinks, shelving, tables, chairs, and furnishings with VA-approved germicidal. Keep vents, ledges, walls free of lint and stains.
• Common areas:
  Sweep, mop, and wipe down waiting areas, chairs, tables, windowsills, stairwells, corridors, and entrance mats with VA-approved germicidal.
• Trash removal:
  Remove trash daily, deposit in designated containers, and keep receptacles clean and odor-free.
• Sanitation:
  Disinfect surfaces with EPA-approved hospital-grade germicidal detergent; polish dry sinks, water fountains, and plumbing fixtures. Keep waiting rooms free of paper, trash, and discarded material.
• Glass and mirrors:
  Clean interior glass, doors, partitions, walls, cases, and medical equipment windows; ensure no film, dirt, or streaks.
• Carpet care:
  Vacuum carpeted areas daily; spot‑clean as needed and report damage to the Government representative.
• Mats:
  Vacuum and clean interior and exterior floor mats, returning them to normal location after cleaning.
• Spot cleaning:
  Remove smudges, fingerprints, stains, and spills from walls, vents, doors, light switches, and other washable surfaces.
• Dusting:
  Dust or clean horizontal surfaces and apply VA‑approved germicidal.
• Curtain replacement:
  Change out cubical curtains when needed or soiled.
• Descaling:
  Descale toilet bowls weekly, removing scale, soap film, and deposits.
• Restroom supplies:
  Stock soaps, paper towels, and toilet paper throughout the day.
• Floor finishing:
  Strip, wax, finish, and buff resilient floors semi‑annually or as requested; apply non‑slip finish without disrupting staff or visitors.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Subject to a background/suitability investigation.
• Completed physical examination prior to starting.
• Submit a complete application package.
• Selected applicants must complete an online onboarding process.

$16.71 - $21.80/hr

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs; carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance; push or pull with 30 lbs of force.
