Job Summary
Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, is seeking a Facilities Lead. The Facilities Lead serves as the senior technical resource for assigned facilities and ministries. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, this position coordinates facility projects, supports preventive maintenance programs, conducts building assessments, assists with regulatory compliance activities, and helps ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
This is a working lead position with no direct reports and no responsibility for hiring, discipline, evaluations, scheduling, or personnel management. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving individuals in a mission-driven senior services environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate assigned facility projects and maintenance activities.
- Support preventive maintenance programs and monitor completion of scheduled tasks.
- Conduct facility assessments and identify maintenance, safety, and compliance concerns.
- Assist with Joint Commission, Physical Environment, Life Safety, OSHA, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Review work orders and assist with prioritization of maintenance activities.
- Coordinate service activities with vendors and contractors as assigned.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, inventories, and related documentation.
- Assist with emergency preparedness, weather response, and facility recovery activities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Facilities Technicians.
- Participate in on-call rotations as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification preferred.
Three to five years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and building systems.
Experience working with vendors and contractors preferred.
Valid driver’s license required (MO residents require a Class
E)
Knowledge And Competencies Required
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Assigned tools, equipment, vehicles, and facility assets.
Accuracy and completion of work orders, inspections, and maintenance records.
Completion of assigned projects and preventive maintenance activities.
Support of facility compliance, safety, and operational readiness.
