About the Role

Tri-Imaging is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I (ISE I) to support the safe, accurate, and reliable operation of diagnostic imaging systems. Working under the direction and guidance of senior engineering personnel, this position performs preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, calibrations, quality assurance support, and basic repairs.

The ISE I provides both on-site and remote technical support to hospitals and healthcare facilities within an assigned territory while developing technical expertise through hands‑on experience, training, and mentorship from senior engineers

What You'll Do

Customer Service & Communication
  • Respond promptly to service requests from clinical departments and customers to evaluate and resolve equipment issues.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinical staff, physicians, vendors, manufacturers, and fellow employees.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally throughout the service process and minimizing disruption to patient care.
  • Keep customers informed of equipment status, repair progress, and expected completion timelines.
  • Assist senior engineers with equipment in-service education and basic operator training.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and commitment to the company's mission and values.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on diagnostic imaging systems under established procedures.
  • Perform planned maintenance, electrical safety testing, quality assurance testing, and system calibrations as assigned.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using manufacturer documentation, service software, and electronic test equipment.
  • Replace defective components, perform adjustments, and restore equipment to manufacturer specifications under appropriate guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring tools and test equipment remain properly calibrated.
  • Participate in the assigned on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work adjusted schedules based on customer and operational needs.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
  • Complete service reports, work orders, preventive maintenance records, calibration records, and quality documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain equipment history records within the CMMS in accordance with company quality standards.
  • Comply with applicable Joint Commission, CMS, FDA, OSHA, NFPA, manufacturer, hospital, and company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in required regulatory inspections, audits, and accreditation activities as assigned.
Inventory & Asset Management
  • Research and request repair parts under the direction of senior personnel.
  • Maintain assigned inventory, specialized tools, and test equipment in proper working condition.
  • Assist with inventory control and identify cost-effective sourcing options when appropriate.
Technical Support & Technology
  • Assist with basic DICOM, PACS, networking, and imaging system connectivity issues while collaborating with hospital IT personnel.
