Summary of the position
A Snow Equipment Operator is responsible for running a variety of snow removal machines from walks, driveways, and parking lots during a snow event. Position is on call, hours and schedule may vary.
Duties- Operation of skid loader, tractor, front end loader and other pertinent machinery to remove snow from sidewalks and driveways.
- Follow instructions from Zone/Area manager, meet deadlines, and maintain the schedule assigned.
- Ice management as needed, direction given by Zone/Area manager.
- Apply salt as needed and directed.
- Ensure all tasks are done following Southview’s safety protocols.
- Additional duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Minimum Qualifications: Prior experience of equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, be able to pass a background check, and be physically fit enough to meet the demands of the functions listed below.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site. Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.
Work Environment: Exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). External environment with all weather and terrain exposure.
