Cleaner – 2nd Shift
General Cleaner Position: performs general office cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash and recycling, dust mop, damp mop floors, cleans and stocks restrooms, and performs other cleaning duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities- Daily interior cleaning of the building, including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, vacuuming/shampooing floors and carpets, dusting and cleaning furniture, washing walls, polishing, mopping floors, cleaning windows and window coverings, and placing down mats/runners in inclement weather.
- Clean and restock restrooms and address spills promptly.
- Notify management of spills, repairs, equipment issues, plumbing problems, heating/cooling and ventilation issues, and any other observable safety concerns.
- Use and operate related equipment, tools, devices, and chemical cleaning agents safely, including mops, vacuums, electric polishing machines, power tools, and special cleaning solutions.
- May be required to perform exterior building and premises cleaning and basic maintenance such as exterior walls and windows, parking lots, walkways, gardens, pools/fountains/spas, curbs, gutters, hallways, and stairwells.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends on call for emergencies.
- Reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible, courteous.
- Effective listener and team player; understands written or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Some cleaning experience and basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Follows safety protocols and procedures; follows through on work orders.
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
- Some related experience required.
The job requires travel from floor to floor, climbing stairs, and may involve outdoor work in varying weather. The employee will remain stationary (sit or stand) for 85% of the time, use hands to operate equipment, walk, talk, and hear regularly, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, frequently or constantly. Travel up to 5% of the time may be required.
Benefits& Compensation
Salary: $17.21 – $20.25 per hour.
