General Maintenance Technician
Maintain and repair the physical structures and utility systems of resort buildings, including electrical controls, heating, ventilating, and water distribution and plumbing systems. Oversee routine maintenance of resort vehicles and perform semiskilled maintenance activities such as lighting, electrical, alarms, plumbing, security, painting, and general carpentry. Keep tools and equipment in good working order, assist with maintenance projects, and arrange furniture and equipment as requested.
Support general ground maintenance, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves, chopping and stacking firewood, and clearing snow. Perform preventative maintenance on all resort property, take and respond to guest calls and requests, and resolve issues promptly. Respond to emergency situations and be available for on‑call duty as needed.
- Maintain and repair physical structures and utility systems of buildings such as electrical controls, heating and ventilating systems, and water distribution and plumbing systems.
- Monitor pool and follow opening and closure procedures as assigned.
- Perform routine maintenance work on vehicles.
- Perform a wide variety of semiskilled maintenance activities (lighting, electrical, alarms, plumbing, security, painting, general carpentry).
- Maintain tools and equipment (including uniform) in good and proper working order.
- Assist maintenance team with projects; ensure projects are completed in a safe, efficient manner.
- Arrange furniture and equipment when requested; clean resort buildings and grounds as needed; assist with security issues as needed.
- Provide support with performing ground maintenance such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves and refuse, chopping and stacking firewood, clearing snow, etc. when requested.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all resort property.
- Take and respond to guest calls and requests; work to resolve any issues in a timely, efficient manner.
- Respond to emergency situations and resolve immediate safety concerns; be available for on‑call, as needed.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; minimum three years of relevant experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications & Licenses- Valid driver’s license.
- Obtain Pool Operator License within six months of employment, if required.

- Ability to prepare general reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to customers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to use a computer for email and basic word processing.
Constantly required to stand, walk, sit, hear, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel. Frequently required to talk, taste, and/or smell. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close and distant‑vision capabilities.
Work EnvironmentFrequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions; may be exposed to wet, hot, humid conditions, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals or solutions, and moderate noise. May be required to work varying schedules that reflect business needs; attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
