Local Driver- Part Time

Responsibilities

• Receive training to put away stock, including trim and doors stored in the warehouse, ensuring materials are organized and readily available when needed.
• Hang doors using hand and power tools, including a manual router, while following instructions and production standards.
• Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to ensure precise cutting, fitting, and installation of materials.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds on occasion, using safe lifting techniques.
• Assist as a helper on delivery routes by riding along with a full-time driver and helping deliver materials to customer sites.
• Perform wood cutting, stacking, and handling tasks safely and efficiently to support production flow.
• Use tools such as nail guns and other woodworking equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Support receiving activities, including unloading, organizing, and documenting incoming materials.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner to support inventory and production tracking.
• Maintain a fast work pace while performing assigned tasks safely and consistently throughout an 8-hour standing shift.
• Communicate clearly and loudly as needed to coordinate with team members and ensure safe operations.
• Contribute to a goal-oriented environment by staying focused, engaged, and accountable for daily tasks.
• Meet driving-related requirements, including clearing an MVR, to support the driving and delivery aspects of the role.

• At least 6+ months of experience using hand or power tools.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to speak loud and clear when needed.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks at a safe but quick pace in a production environment.
• Capability to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion.
• Comfort standing for 8 hours per day while working at a fast pace.
• Experience with wood cutting, nail guns, and wood stacking.
• Experience with hanging doors and receiving materials.
• Ability to complete basic documentation accurately.
• Eligibility to clear a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check for driving-related duties.
• Ability to bring and use steel-toed boots, a hammer, and a tape measure on the first day.

• Experience working in a warehouse or production environment.
• Familiarity with using a manual router or similar woodworking tools.
• Experience assisting with material deliveries or route work.
• Comfort working with higher-end building materials and finishes.
• Ability to work both independently at an individual station and collaboratively with a small team.

The role is based in a clean warehouse with a controlled temperature, providing a comfortable and organized setting for working with wood, doors, and trim. You will typically work an 8-hour shift on your feet at a fast pace, either at an individual station or alongside 12 coworkers within a team of approximately 68 people. The dress code is casual, with steel-toed boots required for safety.

The environment emphasizes safe tool use, clear communication, and teamwork while handling wood-cutting equipment, nail guns, manual routers, and other production tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oakdale, MN.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $47840.00/yr. Health Vision Dental 401K Match
