Sanimax is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our South St-Paul team for the day shift

** As a Fleet Mechanic you are responsible for:
*** Perform pre-inspections on all fleet equipment to ensure safety and road readiness
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers, with a focus on end-dump equipment
* Conduct routine maintenance and light repairs on yard equipment
* Utilize diagnostic tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues
* Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks (MIG welding preferred)
* Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records in a timely manner
* Execute preventive maintenance in compliance with DOT regulations
* Collaborate closely with the Transportation team to ensure fleet reliability and operational efficiency
** Experience Preferred:
*** Previous experience in trailer repair and maintenance strongly preferred
* MIG welding experience required
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Working knowledge of DOT standards and preventive maintenance practices
