Pinellas County Housing Authority (PCHA) is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team!

As a Maintenance Technician, no two days will look exactly the same. You’ll work independently and alongside our maintenance team to keep PCHA properties and apartment homes in great working condition.

Your work may include:

• Painting unit interiors, exteriors, and common areas
• Completing assigned work orders and obtaining necessary materials and supplies
• Installing equipment according to instructions, codes, and safe work practices
• Assisting with property and grounds upkeep as needed
• Performing general clean-up and janitorial duties
• Moving equipment, materials, and other large or bulky items
• Helping maintain tools and equipment

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing great service to our residents.

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Florida Class E Driver’s License
• Ability to meet PCHA fleet and liability insurance requirements
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, electrical metering devices, lawn equipment, and other maintenance equipment
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance work
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Availability to participate in rotating after-hours on-call assignments
