Seasonal Maintenance Worker

Summary

A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is July 2026 to April 2027, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.

Anticipated Entry on Duty:
July 2026

Performs simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices. Responsible for the general cleaning, ground maintenance, repairs to the grounds, buildings and structures of the parks and the efficient operation, maintenance, and care taking of buildings, structures and grounds serving public and domestic use throughout the park.

Position also focuses on custodial services, including cleaning sinks, toilets, sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring that there are adequate supplies of soap, towels, and toilet paper for public restrooms throughout the park, picnic areas, and/or campgrounds.
