Maintenance Technician

Description

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team of property management professionals at apartment communities in Gloucester and Mancester‑by‑the Sea, MA. The role requires effective and careful evaluation in response to a broad range of maintenance needs to assist the Service Manager with the efficient operation of the property.

• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Appliance Repair
• Locks & Keys
• Basic Carpentry
• Painting and Drywall Repair
• Janitorial, Grounds and Snow Removal
• Cleaning
• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the building’s common areas and other assigned areas
• Maintaining exterior grounds according to company standards

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• Solid computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self‑starter and initiative‑driven
• On‑call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Reliable vehicle required

Pay range: $21.16/hr – $37.36/hr benefits include medical, dental, 401(k), STD, life insurance, Employee Assistance Programs, paid time off, paid holidays, paid training, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, employee referral bonuses, and flex spending.
