The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) supports state agencies across Oregon with essential services that keep government running smoothly. Within DAS, Enterprise Asset Management manages the life cycle of state facilities—ensuring buildings are safe, functional, and ready for the employees and visitors who rely on them every day.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated leader to join us as our next Maintenance & Operations Supervisor. In this role, you’ll guide a talented maintenance team, address a wide range of facility needs, and help ensure state‐owned buildings remain safe, efficient, and welcoming.

As the Maintenance & Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily maintenance operations, support preventive maintenance programs, coordinate repairs, and work closely with staff, contractors, and agency partners—all while fostering safety, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.

** What We Are Looking For
***
* Minimum Qualifications:

** Three years of lead work, foreman work, or supervision;

OROne year of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position AND completion of an accredited vocational-training or construction-training program related to the class concept;

OROne year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field;

ORAn equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
** Desired Attributes:
** We are looking for a leader with experience and skills in:
* Supervising maintenance, operations, trades, or facilities teams—including hiring, training, assigning work, and supporting employee development.
* Understanding building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical components, and fire/life‐safety systems.
* Performing general maintenance and repair work (painting, plumbing, lighting, HVAC support, equipment repair, carpentry, yard/grounds care, etc.).
* Planning, coordinating, and overseeing complex maintenance projects, including estimating time and materials.
* Quickly assessing facility issues and applying critical‐thinking skills to determine effective solutions.
* Managing preventive maintenance programs and improving workflows.
* Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and agency partners.
* Tracking maintenance costs and supporting budget planning.
* Maintaining strong attention to detail in inspections and documentation.
