Maintenance​/Cleaning Operator, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Monitor system including observing pressure, temperature and relative humidity measurements on charts or computer monitors.
• Turn valves and adjust controls to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Observe sterilizers and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and assist with repairs as needed.
• Document and record process readings.
• Report damaged product to the Shift Supervisor or Process Supervisor.
• Report system problems to the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician.
• Perform daily and weekly equipment preventative maintenance tasks and assist maintenance as required.
• Store and remove chemicals used in processing in accordance with procedures and laws.
• Participate on plant safety committees and follow all established safety rules and regulations.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience working in a sterilization environment (desired).
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Willingness to work established shifts.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over time.
• Forklift driving experience.
• Computer skills (desired).

Payrate: $21.50 per hour.
