Job DescriptionAs an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you'll help lead maintenance operations across our ten travel store locations throughout Kansas. This position combines hands‑on maintenance work with leadership responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and helping others succeed.

The Assistant Maintenance Manager serves as the second‑in‑command of the Maintenance Department and assists in overseeing maintenance operations for all company locations. This position supports Maintenance Technicians, coordinates projects, assists with vendor management, and helps ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained.
Essential Job Functions- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Three (3) years of maintenance, construction, facilities, or related experience preferred.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety practices preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Daily travel and occasional overnight travel are required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- CDL preferred or willingness to obtain CDL.
- Must reside in or within a reasonable commuting distance of Salina, Kansas.
