• Perform building maintenance in one or more fields including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing.
• Perform general cleaning.
• Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance to replace or repair fixtures including, but not limited to, wall switches, outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs/tubes, ballast and sockets.
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance including, but not limited to, repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines.
• Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work.
• Reconfigures, installs, positions and remounts modular offices and space to accommodate user needs and maximize office space.
• Performs mowing and weed control for the facilities along with the upkeep of the lawn care equipment. Performs snow removal as needed.
• Pick up parts and motors in town and outside town.
• Deliver loads to local customers for Project Managers.
• Change oil and fuel maintenance vehicles.
• Assists with inmate transport to and from facility and different pre-employment test sites as needed.
• Requisition maintenance related items, verify receipt of correct materials and document use of same.
• Effectively communicate changes in priorities or completion dates due to unscheduled projects of higher priority or urgency.
• Establish, communicate and monitor personal and departmental performance and improvement goals in support of organizational objectives. Communicate results to Supervisor. Encourage and promote continuous personal development, skill attainment and optimal performance for self and others.
• Support and comply with company policies, programs, procedures and/or guidelines during performance of all duties. Report observed instances of non-compliance to Supervisor.
• Demonstrate safe work habits. Attend trainings and meetings as required.
• Cross-train on other departmental duties in preparation for performing in a back-up capacity. Provide hands-on training as needed.
• Cooperate with all co-workers and management personnel in all areas and departments. Promote the best interests of the company and contribute to a positive work environment at all times.
• Purchase, properly use and maintain personal tools. Proper use and maintenance of all company tools, equipment, supplies and computer hardware and software.

• Able to understand and follow complex directions, instructions and/or other forms of specifications relative to assigned tasks.
• Ability to use hand, power and specialty tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects to meet business requirements and schedule workflow to achieve optimum output.
