Overview
THIS JOB REQUIRES ENLISTMENT IN THE U.S. ARMY. Enlistment is required for this position.
As a Cargo Specialist, you'll be the cargo handling expert for everything the Army moves by land, sea, or air. You’ll ensure the Army receives supplies, weapons, the mail, and equipment on a daily basis all over the world. You will be trained in cargo documentation, the securing of cargo, and learn how to load and unload cargo manually or by operating material handling equipment like cranes and forklifts.
This job requires 10 weeks of Basic training followed by 8 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
- Must be a US citizen or an I-551 cardholder.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a criminal background check with no open law violations.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- No felony.
- Must currently be in good health with no physical limitations.
Total compensation includes housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time.
Earn Cash For In-Demand Jobs: You could earn up to $40,000 in cash bonuses just for enlisting under certain Military Occupational Specialties.
