Job DescriptionSalary: (Non-negotiable)
$42,369 - $57,449
Paygrade 8 (Includes benefits package)
Hours:
12 months, 40 hours, 260 days
Contract Unit:
This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit. FLSA:
Non-exempt
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Five (5) years of work experience of equivalent knowledge of the repair, maintenance, and operation of tractors and lawn equipment.
Thorough knowledge of the common practices, tools, terminology, and safety precautions of the grounds keeping trade.
Thorough knowledge of the use and characteristics of common building materials.
General knowledge of plumbing and electrical methods, tools, and procedures.
Ability to work from sketches, drawings, plans or specifications.
Ability to weld and fabricate metal materials.
Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions.
Ability to use a computer base work order system.
Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
Ability to work outside in hot, cold, or inclement weather.
Possession of a valid Maryland CDL driver’s license minimal class
B.
Operate on all types of grounds equipment including, but not limited to power washer, chainsaw, weed eater, etc., as required to maintain grounds and exterior amenities.
Troubleshoot and perform repairs to site and grounds equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on to site and grounds equipment.
Maintain maintenance and repair records and identify problems with manufacturers or brands.
Assume the responsibility or purchasing supplies and materials (at supervisor’s discretion) and keep inventory.
Assume willingness to work beyond an eight (8) hour day and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
Have the ability to respond for snow removal during school closings and non-scheduled work hours.
Ensure adherence to principles and practices of safe use and operation of equipment, tools, and materials.
Maintain regular on-time attendance.
Perform related work as required.

Job Requirements- At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- High School/Trade School degree preferred.
