The hiring salary for this position is $49,398 - $52,252 annually. The full range for this position is $49,398 - $75,284 annually.
Job SummaryPerforms repairs and other services relating to water meters. Duties include repairing & replacing of Neptune AMR radio read meters (or similar), meter reading for monthly billing cycle, disconnection/reconnection of water services, work monthly stand‑by on a rotational basis, and collecting meter information data logs. Position reports to the Water Superintendent.

High school diploma or G.E.D. and two or more years of job‑related experience
ExperienceOr equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience
Licenses or CertificatesMust possess a valid Maryland driver’s license, Class
C. Must obtain Water Distribution 1 License within 18 months.

Physical DemandsRequires strenuous physical effort to perform manual work involving walking over rough, uneven terrain, repeated bending, climbing, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or lifting objects up to 60 pounds.
Unusual DemandsWork environment involves high risks with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental stress, which require a range of safety and other precautions, e.g., aggressive human behavior, extreme outdoor weather conditions, confined workspace, or similar situations where conditions cannot be controlled.
