The General Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff, coordinates maintenance activities, manages budgets, and ensures buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and well maintained.

Duties:

• Supervise daily maintenance and operations of County buildings and grounds
• Schedule routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee repairs, renovations, and special building projects
• Prepare and manage operating and capital improvement budgets
• Coordinate maintenance work with County departments, agencies, and outside contractors
• Investigate equipment and building system malfunctions and arrange repairs
• Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies; order materials as needed
• Schedule and oversee landscaping and grounds maintenance
• Coordinate and schedule department vehicle maintenance and repairs

High school diploma or equivalent;

Technical training and experience in building maintenance, construction,plumbing, masonry, or related fields;

Asbestos and lead removal training preferred;

Strong knowledge of building trades, maintenance, and regulations;

Experience supervising maintenance staff;

Ability to work independently and enforce County policies;

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings;

Valid Driver’s License; and Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
