Poultry Vaccination Lead Technician

Overview

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and attributes:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Applicant must have a valid Driver's License
• Experience in vaccinations and pullet moves
• Good organizer with the ability to work and communicate well with others
• Physical type work is a demand
• Ability to prepare work schedules and adjust to sudden changes in organizing workloads
• Capable of working flexible hours
• Delegate will have a background check performed as stated in the Aviagen Employee Handbook

• Must be able to work flexible hours and be on call 24 hours/7 days a week
• Ensure that all vaccination and move procedures are performed correctly by crew
• Able to manage a crew with high efficiency and high quality standards
• Properly handle vaccine in transport as well as in the chicken houses
• Ensuring the biosecurity of farms, equipment, area buildings, vehicles, etc. is a major duty
• Must be able to complete schedules and service reports
• Must be able to repair vaccination equipment, injection guns, water-vac pumps, etc
• Must be able to do blood monitoring and rodent inspections involving baiting and checking traps
• Health & Safety of employees is a major part of job duties
