Job Summary

Janitorial Supervisor –
24.72 Per Hour
. The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the janitorial staff cleans and maintains the client’s premises to standards set by Flag Ship Holding Company.

• Supervise employees and delegate operation schedules to ensure proper coverage.
• Evaluate performance of personnel and inspect assigned areas for proper work performance; provide hands‑on support when necessary (dust mopping, sweeping, stripping/refinishing, carpet scrubbing, servicing restrooms, window washing, etc.).
• Identify and resolve problems, recommend improvements to management, staff, and/or customers to exceed expectations.
• Report issues, concerns or discrepancies to Operations Manager/Operations Coordinator.
• Address customer concerns and inquiries and report new or changing job/work orders.
• Track and evaluate purchasing activities, supply and equipment usage and repairs; ensure labeling, dilution and storage comply with company, customer and OSHA standards.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for staff to job‑specific tasks.
• Participate in company and customer training, ensuring effective communication and distribution of information to supervisors, customers and employees.
• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with company policies, customer rules and applicable laws.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the janitorial/facilities field.

• Fast‑paced office environment.
• Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks.
• High sense of urgency.
• Small office environment.
• Moderate noise level.
• Exposure to normal office type environments and shop environments.
• Regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

• Clean DMV record.
• Pass criminal background screening.

Services require occasional standing, walking, sitting, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, propitiating property, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, speaking or hearing. Frequent lifting of a minimum of 40 lbs. of office and facilities equipment is required. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
