Overview
The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during business hours. This role focuses on high-traffic areas, responding to immediate cleaning needs, and ensuring restrooms, common spaces, and entryways remain presentable throughout the day.
Pay: $17.25 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas throughout the day
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Monitor restrooms and restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Clean spills, fingerprints, smudges, and debris as needed
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners
- Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, and railings
- Set up or break down rooms for meetings or events as requested
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor
- Follow established safety procedures and cleaning protocols
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to staff and visitors
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or porter experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to [25–50] pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed
