This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester.
The Rodeo Complex Student Worker supports the daily operations, maintenance, and event functions of the rodeo complex. Responsibilities include assisting with facility upkeep, arena preparation, grounds maintenance, equipment handling, event setup and teardown, and providing support during practices, competitions, and special events. This position requires strong teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the rodeo complex remains safe, clean, and welcoming for students, staff, visitors, and guests.
The role provides valuable experience in event operations, facility management, customer service, and agricultural and rodeo-related activities.
- Current Angelo State University student in good academic standing.
- Previous experience working in rodeo, livestock, agricultural, ranching, equine, or event operations environments.
- Knowledge of rodeo events, livestock handling practices, and arena management.
- Experience operating tractors, utility vehicles, arena drags, or grounds maintenance equipment.
- Experience with facility maintenance, landscaping, or custodial responsibilities.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to livestock facilities, equipment operation, and event management.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and special events as required.
Salary $11.00
