Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

• Clean and maintain assigned areas through washing, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Keep restrooms clean, sanitary, and well maintained.
• Empty trash containers and maintain clean, orderly spaces.
• Clean interior and exterior windows.
• Use cleaning supplies and chemicals safely and according to directions.
• Stock supply rooms and help ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Arrange tables and chairs and assist with meeting and event preparation.
• Report unsafe conditions or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Unclog minor sink and toilet stoppages as needed.
• Respond to changing workload needs while staying productive and on task.
• Follow all safety precautions and proper lifting practices.
• Attend department meetings and required in-services.
• Help train new employees as needed.

This is a part-time position.

• Some formal educational training is required; on-the-job training is provided.
• Must be able to read and follow safety instructions and cleaning-solution mixing formulas.
• Must be honest, dependable, and reliable.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping methods, materials, and equipment is preferred.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions and learn new tasks quickly.
• Ability to perform tasks on a ladder.
• Ability to lift and handle items as required for the position; the job description notes lifting requirements of up to 75 pounds waist-high and 45 pounds in another essential-function statement.
• Must have the endurance to perform housekeeping duties for extended periods.
• Must follow safety precautions and WTRC policies.
