Facilities Technician - San Antonio, TX
Please Note:
Salary is equal to $/hour in a 40-Hour Work Week
You will oversee the facilities and grounds for 2 or more campuses across our network. You are ultimately responsible to ensure that every building is clean, safe, and functional so that it enhances student learning and safety.
Your Responsibilities- Ensure campus is safe, clean, and operable every work day, especially one week before the First Day of School (FDOS)
- Manage the cleanliness, maintenance, housekeeping, and landscaping of your assigned campuses
- The overall look, feel functionality, and ambiance of the school inside and out are your responsibility
- Work with the Director of Facilities to manage the outsourcing of services as needed to ensure facilities are always in good working order
- Respond quickly to emergency facility issues that could cause issues during the school day or events
- Ensure assigned facilities and equipment are ready for day‑to‑day business and events
- Provide recommendations for new equipment
- Evaluate facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
- Support the Director of Facilities to develop maintenance procedures and schedules
- Execute the assignment and completion of all work orders and facilities projects in a timely manner
- Assist with the implementation of safety programs, systems, and drills
- Achieve a proficient rating on the Facilities Walkthrough Audit at each school within your profile
- Participate in all job‑related training
- Assure chemical safety and storage
- Serve as the financial steward for campus facilities and maintenance operations
- Obtain direction from the Director of Facilities, Campus Operations Leaders, and Principals to identify facilities' needs and develop a plan accordingly
- Collaborate with custodial team members to ensure the facility is safe, clean, and operable every day
- Execute custodial responsibilities when and where needed.
- Demonstrate reliability and responsibility through attendance, punctuality, and flexibility
- Attend any team meetings as required
- Able to perform additional duties as requested by Operations Leadership and as required
- Ability to work long hours as needed
- Have at least a High School Diploma
- Have previous building and facility maintenance experience
- Have skills in minor repairs & facility maintenance
- Are bilingual in Spanish
- Are Customer‑Service oriented
- Are highly skilled in time and task management
- Are an effective verbal and written communicator
- Can work flexible hours like weekends and nights when needed
- Can withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling
- Can lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Are physically able to operate power equipment
- Can work in a variety of weather conditions
- Have functional knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
- Can submit and pass a background check
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation

- Job Type: Full‑time, Exempt, Follows Facilities Calendar (approximately 245-250 days/year)
- Competitive salary based upon credentials and experience ranging from $33,000 - $41,000
