Janitor​/Custodian

The Janitor/Clean‑up laborer is responsible for being self‑directed in the cleaning and trash removal of the plant building, including restrooms. This position performs a wide range of duties within the plant including office areas, restrooms, break rooms, and other areas of the plant as needed.

• Adheres to all safety rules and procedures
• Clean restroom in plant and in front office
• Sweep areas of the shop as needed
• Clean out refrigerators once a week
• Pick up trash and debris outside
• Clean water fountains and hand washing areas
• Cleans and sweeps plant as needed
• Cleans the break room weekly
• Vacuums and mops designated areas
• Performs all of these tasks and more in a safe working manner

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Understand basic mathematical skills
• High school diploma/equivalent
• Previous success in personal safety record preferred
• This job involves the following physical demands: walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Job responsibilities involve frequent use of cleaning chemicals
