Job Summary
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems. This role ensures that all facility maintenance and on-site machinery are functioning properly and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities- Perform routine facility maintenance tasks, including inspecting, programming, and repairing machinery.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improvements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Technical proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLC), general facility maintenance, and repair tasks.
- In depth knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics of machines.
- Good understanding of machine learning and IOT for machines.
- Strong experience in implementing low-cost automation projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
