Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems. This role ensures that all facility maintenance and on-site machinery are functioning properly and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

• Perform routine facility maintenance tasks, including inspecting, programming, and repairing machinery.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improvements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Technical proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLC), general facility maintenance, and repair tasks.
• In depth knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics of machines.
• Good understanding of machine learning and IOT for machines.
• Strong experience in implementing low-cost automation projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
