This position supports Goodwill Industries of San Antonio in maintaining all interior and exterior buildings in a hazard‑free environment, performing general building maintenance including light carpentry, basic electrical, painting, and general upkeep.

• Work with the Manager in prioritizing tasks on a daily or weekly basis.
• Inspect physical structures for safety hazards and report to the Manager.
• Complete work orders to ensure proper documentation of assignments.
• Maintain interior of building areas such as lobbies, offices, and other requested spaces.
• Perform repairs to physical structures using hand tools.
• Inform appropriate personnel of irregularities and possible problems in a timely manner.
• Enhance safety program by following all Federal, State, OSHA and agency safety requirements; wear safety equipment; use chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer’s directions; attend required training.
• Comply with all occupational safety programs and procedures.
• Dispose of trash and unusable merchandise into designated containers.
• Keep work‑site free from debris; remove obstructions from permanent aisles and inform manager of possible safety hazards.
• Enhance the physical appearance of the work‑site by painting.
• Ensure safety and security of all tools, equipment and materials at all times.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.

• Minimum 6 months of general facility maintenance experience (1 year preferred).
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work a variety of hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage if driving is required, and ability to travel as needed.
