Operating Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in facility management and building operations, is seeking a dedicated Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Facilities Maintenance Department supporting the Building Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across various systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of mechanical and building systems.
• Monitor and record system readings, making adjustments to maintain efficiency and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory management, procurement, and coordination of contracted maintenance services.
• Support team members with multi‑faceted building operations and contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Experience with Chillers, Air Compressors, Condensers, HVAC, and Plumbing systems (units over 500+ tons).
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
