Job OverviewReady to rev up your career? U‑Haul is looking for an individual to perform minor body sheet‑metal repairs, fiberglass repair, and repainting of body parts and interiors of U‑Haul trucks and trailers. The position will involve the use of primers, enamels, wood finishing and fiberglass finishing materials. The individual will prepare surfaces by sanding, painting with primers and applying final paints.
PrimaryResponsibilities
Repair or replace auto‑body/van‑body components, including:
- Bondo repair, dent pulling, fiberglass reinforced plywood (FRP) repair, bolt‑on part replacement, decal installation, etc.
- Repair equipment using appropriate tools to conform to U‑Haul standards.
- Restore equipment to U‑Haul quality.
- Apply critical thinking ability.
- Effectively follow work‑order directions.
- Perform work in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
- Positive attitude.
- Safety minded.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Understanding of auto‑body repair.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical DemandsThe work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted.
