Overview
Trane Technologies is hiring a Water Treatment Specialist to perform start‑up, commissioning, and servicing of water treatment equipment at customer locations throughout the San Antonio, TX area, including Corpus Christi, Laredo, Eagle Pass, and the Rio Grande Valley.
Responsibilities- Conduct detailed end‑to‑end water chemistry testing, including sampling and analysis.
- Download and configure water treatment software programs.
- Perform start‑up, commissioning, and routine servicing of water treatment systems on assigned projects.
- Serve as the direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
- Use blueprints and engineering specifications to plan, install, and repair systems, coordinating materials and scheduling with team leaders and project managers.
- Maintain safety standards, safety‑related equipment, and security of company assets.
- Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays, as business demands require.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience.
- Strong knowledge of basic chemistry principles and ability to detect color changes in water samples.
- Plumbing skills, including installation of PVC, copper, and black iron piping, preferred.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computing devices (smartphone or iPad).
- Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with a clean driving record; no major violations within the past 3 years.
- EPA certification preferred.
This is a Safety Sensitive role and may require additional drug screening.
CompensationHourly pay range: $28.96 – $39.02. Compensation may vary based on seniority, location, experience, and other factors.
