Job ObjectivePerform functional testing of liquid chillers.
Responsibilities- Perform functional testing and facility operation.
- Repair chillers and facility equipment.
- Maintain facility and equipment.
- Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.
- Maintain and inventory equipment and storage.
Lifting 50 lbs. (occasional), Standing (constant), Walking (frequently), Bending (occasional), Climbing (occasional), Crawling (occasional), Reaching (frequently), Grasping (frequently), Sitting (occasional), Connecting (occasional), Pulling (frequently), Judgment (frequently). Read and interpret blueprints (frequently). Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Must follow written and oral instructions. Vision corrected to 20/20. Handling equipment and material (frequently).
Must be able to read and perform high school level math or equivalent.
Environmental FactorsManufacturing – Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat (indoor), cold/heat (outdoor). Job hazards of working around heavy equipment and machinery.
Tools and Equipment UsedAir handler, variable speed drives, hand operated power tools, cranes, forklift, pumps, three phase starter, air compressors, volt-ohm meters, leak detectors, power analyzers and vacuum gauges.
QualificationsWorking knowledge and a minimum of one year of operations, maintenance and repair experience in the following areas:
- Three phase electrical power distribution systems, transformers (208-4160 volt).
- Liquid chilling units from 150 to 2000 tons, York equipment preferred.
- Cooling towers, pneumatic control valves, water pumps, motors up to 1200 hp.
- Data instrumentation systems with pressure transducers, flow meters, resistance thermometers. As a condition of employment, participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required.
$20.25 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
