Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician supports and oversees maintenance operations to ensure quality move‑ins, resident satisfaction, and expedited service. This role requires a proactive, professional approach to meet residents’ needs and uphold company standards.
Essential Duties- Prepare apartments for move‑ins: painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties.
- Respond to resident service requests promptly and with professionalism.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal (as applicable).
- Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure cleanliness, operation, and safety.
- Attend on‑call scheduling to respond to after‑hour emergencies.
- Report maintenance concerns in vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Execute scheduled maintenance as directed by the supervisor.
- Follow state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
- Participate in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield.
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain all tools and equipment.
- Maintain reliable attendance and promptly report tardiness or attendance issues.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA 608 certification (Type II and CPO or local city required certificate).
- Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills: rate, ratio, percent, bar graphs; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure.
- Effective written and oral communication; ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
Experience1+ years of related experience.
Work EnvironmentProfessional office setting with standard office equipment. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical DemandsStand and walk for extended periods; ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools. May need to remain stationary 85% of the time. Capable of moving up to 100 pounds occasionally or frequently.

$17.85 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience, location, and applicable agreements.
