Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician II will lead a team to provide a safe and well‑maintained store environment for Nordstrom customers and employees. This role supports the Facility Manager to ensure stores are ready for business daily and focuses on key themes such as HVAC, vertical transportation, restaurants, entrances, signs, and building systems.

- Respond to daily break‑fix and on‑demand requests, perform advanced troubleshooting, and delegate generated work orders to the team.
- Communicate with Store Leadership, participate in store meetings, support vendor relations, and assist with administrative tasks such as parts ordering, PO creation, and meeting coordination.
- Lead and perform preventive maintenance on all critical and non‑critical equipment, including monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual schedules.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all store operations.
- Operate and monitor building controls, manage building systems, and execute EMCS command troubleshooting.
- Conduct equipment and building rounds, read system data, and report malfunctions.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
- Document all preventive maintenance routines and delegate to and mentor technicians.
- Assist the Facility Manager with technical training for new employees and respond to location emergencies.
- Maintain the CMMS with accurate records and order manage parts inventory.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and property managers.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency regulations, and company safety directives.
- High school diploma or GED; associate’s degree or higher from a vocational school or college preferred.
- 5–7 years of hands‑on facilities experience with a focus on mechanical maintenance.
- 5+ years of experience in predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repair.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting low‑voltage signaling and logical devices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self‑motivated and dedicated to a safe, customer‑focused work environment.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with CMMS (e.g., Coupa) and ordering systems.
- Knowledge of computer networking systems and infrastructure.
- Experience with electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and off‑hours as required.
Stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting or carrying heavy loads of 50 lb. or more with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pay$19.25 – $32.25 per hour.
