General Maintenance- Lead

Schedule Requirements:
Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays. Shift is from 7:00am- 3:30pm

Role

Our busy hotel is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented lead maintenance engineer to ensure that all of our visitors have an excellent experience at our property. The Maintenance Engineer Lead reports to the Assistant Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering. You'll play a large part of the building's maintenance and preventative programs daily to ensure people's enjoyment, health, and safety. The ideal candidate for this position will be an outstanding communicator, a team player, and have 2-3 years of building maintenance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited too:

* This role centers on the general maintenance functions crucial for ensuring guest service and sustainability standards are consistently met throughout the hotel property

* As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work at the core of maintaining and enhancing the hotel's physical infrastructure to guarantee a seamless and comfortable experience for all guests

* The Maintenance Engineer Lead is responsible for supervising and directing maintenance engineers, coordinating work orders, and managing repair assignments to maintain the integrity of the hotel's facilities

* This includes hands-on tasks like conducting room inspections, repairing or installing wall coverings including sheetrock, and painting designated areas

* Electrical responsibilities encompass installing and replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, as well as repairing furniture and programming televisions

* Plumbing tasks are also part of the role, along with repair and preventive maintenance of heating and cooling pumps

* Beyond these core duties, the position requires troubleshooting and repair of kitchen equipment, documenting maintenance activities meticulously, and ensuring work complies with local, state, and federal regulations

* The role may also involve stepping in as a bell attendant during peak times or staffing

* Safety is paramount for Hill Country, requiring Maintenance Engineers to observe safe work habits, use protective equipment, and adhere to OSHA standards and material safety datasheets (MSDS)

* This comprehensive role demands physical stamina and adaptability, as the work schedule may include holidays, weekends, and varying shifts that require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, and similar physical activities

Qualifications

Experience with facilities management software is preferred

2-3 of building maintenance preferred

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others

Must detailed orientated

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to lift, push and pull a moderate amount of weight

Ability to work a flexible schedule through the week
