Job Description

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, including testing, troubleshooting system components, field verification of connections, labels, installation, and work quality.
• Understand advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical documentation; create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-offs.
• Manage technical work in the field with little supervision.
• Provide advanced support for project installation, assisting field staff and the project manager.
• Assist with maintaining and completing project punch‑lists for closeouts.
• Quality‑check the projects, test all equipment and functionality, and create punch lists.
• Assist sales staff as needed with product and system support.

• Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and able to lead others in creating, developing, and implementing project process improvements.
• Promotes company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
• Proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to read, write, and give oral presentations.
• Diagnoses and fixes problems with existing equipment and new installations.
• Enthusiastic, passionate, patient, and a critical thinker.
• Excellent customer‑service skills.
• High skill level in interpreting blueprints and other project documents.
• Ability to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
• High‑school diploma or GED equivalency required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–4 years of commercial low‑voltage/structured cabling experience.
• Works well with others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Meets company minimum driving standards.
• Manages multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a scope of work, develop detailed tasks, and manage to completion and customer turnover.
